A tax batch publishes only when every file is matched to an investing account and marked Confirmed. Most errors mean a match is missing or changed.
Steps to fix
- Go to Reporting, open Tax Documents, and click Review Batch.
- For each file, open the PDF and pick the right account in Investing Account (Select Account means none is chosen).
- Tick Confirmed for every row.
- Click Publish Documents & Email Investors.
Common messages
- Confirm every account match before delivery.: at least one row has no account or is not confirmed.
- Account matches changed. Review the batch again.: someone edited the matches. Reload and review.
- This batch was already delivered.: the batch is published. To fix a file, use Correct Tax Form.
- Choose an account in this investment or an account no longer belongs: the account has no position in the batch's investment. Pick an account that holds this investment.
- Upload no more than 40 MB per batch.: split the upload into smaller batches.
Good to know
- Changing an account on a row clears its Confirmed box.
- Upload one PDF per account and name each file with the account name or ID so suggestions work. Split combined PDFs first.
- Files stay team-only until you publish. After publishing, investors are emailed and find files in the portal Tax Center.
- You need document edit access to upload, match, and publish.
