Why Can't I Download a Report From My Email Link?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

What the report download page statuses mean and what to do if the link expired or failed.

When a report is ready, the people chosen to receive it get an email with a secure link. The link opens a Download Report page in Syndelo. You must be signed in and be one of the chosen recipients.

Steps

  1. Click the link in the email and sign in if asked.
  2. Check the Status, Rows, Format, and Link Expires details.
  3. When the status is completed, click Download Report.
  4. To go back, click All Reports.

What you might see

  • Still being prepared: the report is running. Refresh in a moment.
  • Failed: the report could not be generated. The reason is shown. Run it again from Reporting.
  • Expired: the link expired and the file was deleted. Links last seven days. Run the report again from Reporting to get a new one.
  • An error or not found page usually means you are signed into a different workspace or were not a recipient. Switch workspaces or ask the person who ran it to add you.

Good to know

  • Reports are sent only to the people chosen when they were run. Forwarding the email does not give someone else access.
  • If the page says the file includes full tax IDs, store it securely and delete local copies when you are done.
  • Format is shown as Excel, CSV, or ZIP, depending on how the report was run.

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
