Tax documents are on Reporting under the Tax Documents tab. You can generate draft K-1s or upload finished PDFs, then match and publish them. Investors get an email and find their files in the portal Tax Center. Syndelo does not give tax advice; have your tax adviser review every form.
Generate draft K-1s
- In Generate Schedule K-1S, choose the Investment and Tax Year.
- Enter the Partnership EIN and IRS Center Where Filed.
- Optionally enter Partnership Totals from your Form 1065. Syndelo splits them by each account's share at period end.
- Click Generate K-1S.
If accounts are missing details, Syndelo lists them. Add the details and generate again.
Upload K-1s or 1099s
- In K-1 & 1099 Matching & Delivery, choose the Investment, Tax Year, and Tax Form.
- Choose the Tax Document PDFs, one PDF per account. Name each file with the account name or ID, or leave the names as they are: when AI is on, Syndelo reads the partner name and the last four digits of the partner's TIN on each K-1 and suggests the account. The full TIN is never saved.
- Click Upload for Matching. Large sets upload 50 files at a time, up to 1,000 per batch.
Match and publish
- Under Delivery Batches, click Review Batch.
- Open each PDF, check the suggested Investing Account (and the K-1 partner shown under the file), and tick Confirmed.
- Click Publish Documents & Email Investors.
Files stay team-only until you publish.
Correct a published form
Click Correct Tax Form next to the file in the published batch and upload the new PDF. Another team member reviews it under Tax Form Corrections before it is shared. The original stays available.
Review investor W-9 and W-8 forms
Forms investors send appear under Tax Forms to Review. A different team member with tax access and approval rights accepts or rejects each one.
Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
