What Is the Company Profile and Where Is It Used?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

What the Company Profile in Settings holds, how to edit it, and where Syndelo uses each detail.

The Company Profile is where you enter your company once. It's on the General page of Settings, below Organization. You need permission to edit workspace settings to change it. Everyone on your team can read it.

Edit the Profile

  1. Open Settings. General opens first.
  2. On Company Profile, choose Complete Profile, or Edit Profile once it's complete.
  3. Fill in the fields below.
  4. Choose Save Profile.

Syndelo may fill in a few blank fields from your account, such as your website from your email address. A note in the window tells you which ones. Check them before you save.

The Fields

  • Legal Name: exactly as registered with the state, for example Northline Capital LLC.
  • Display Name (DBA): what investors see in the portal and emails. This is the same name as Organization Name, so changing one changes the other.
  • Entity Type: LLC, LP, LLP, General Partnership, Corporation, Trust, or Other.
  • Formation State: the state where the company was formed.
  • EIN: nine digits. It's stored encrypted and used only for payment setup. Syndelo shows only the last four digits. Leave it blank to keep the saved one.
  • Street Address, Suite or Unit, City, State, and ZIP Code.
  • Phone and Website.
  • What Your Company Does: one or two sentences for the investor portal and payment setup.

Under Investor Portal About Card:

  • Investor Contact Email
  • Assets Under Management
  • Team Size
  • Offices

Where It's Used

The Assets Under Management here is for your About card. Plan limits use a separate reported figure in Billing Details. See How Do I Change My Plan or Billing Details?

Each workspace has its own company profile. Changes are recorded in Change History.
