How Do I Customize the Investor Setup Steps?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How to choose, edit, reorder, preview, and publish the steps new investors complete after they sign up.

Investor Setup is where you choose what new investors complete after they create a login and confirm their email. Open Settings and choose Investor Setup under Investor Experience. You need permission to edit workspace settings.

Investor Accreditation

The Investor Accreditation panel at the top of this page turns on third-party verification for $99 per successful verification. See Accredited Investor Verifications (Accredd).

The Investor Qualifications step is separate. It asks investors to describe their status. If you leave Required unticked, investors can choose Skip for Now. If you tick Required, they must answer before they can submit. Skipping this step never bypasses a raise that requires verified accreditation.

Edit the Steps

  1. Under The Investor Journey, choose a step to open it.
  2. Tick Include to add the step, and Required if investors must finish it.
  3. Edit the step's Step Title and its other fields.
  4. Drag the handle next to a step to reorder it.
  5. Check it in Investor Preview. Pick Selected Step, Registration, or Completion. Sample answers are not saved.
  6. Choose Save Draft to keep working, or Publish Setup Steps to use it.

The heading shows Unsaved changes, Draft · Not published, or Published · Version with a number.

The Steps

Create Login & Confirm Email always comes first, and Submit for Sponsor Review always comes last. It checks the required steps before submission. Your Details is always the first step of the journey and is always required.

These are the default titles. You can rename any step.

  • Your Details: contact details and investing identity. Choose Ask for Phone Number, Require Phone Number, Ask for Mailing Address, Require Mailing Address, and Ask How the Investor Plans to Hold Investments.
  • Welcome: a personal introduction.
  • Meet Your Sponsor: your story, Your Team, and Investment Focus. Use Add Team Member and Add Investment Focus.
  • Before You Begin: important information and an acknowledgment.
  • A Little About You: your own questions. Choose Add Question, then set the Answer Type, and tick Answer Required if needed. A Choose One question needs at least two Choices (One per Line).
  • Investment Interests: non-binding interests. The invest flow asks for the real amount.
  • Investor Qualifications: self-reported qualifications. The invest flow checks them again.
  • Documents to Review: private PDFs to read and acknowledge. Choose Add a PDF to Review. Offering documents belong in the raise.
  • Documents to Provide: documents your team needs from investors. Set the Document Requested and Instructions, and tick Upload Required if needed.
  • Your Preferences: Ask About Payout Preferences and Ask About Communication Preferences.

Change the Registration and Completion Messages

Open Registration & Completion Messages (Optional) to edit the Registration Heading, Registration Introduction, Completion Heading, Completion Message, and Support Email (Optional).

What Happens When You Publish

Publishing applies to new registrations. Investors already in progress keep the version they started.

An included A Little About You, Documents to Review, or Documents to Provide step needs content before you can publish. Otherwise you see "Add content to" that step "before publishing."

Good to Know

  • This editor collects profiles and choices. It doesn't start payments.
  • Signing, investor rule checks, and bank setup need their services connected first.
