Open the investment, click its Overview tab, and use the Co-Sponsors panel. You need permission to edit raises to add one.
Add a Co-Sponsor
- In Co-Sponsors, click Add Co-Sponsor.
- Choose a Contact, enter a Company, or both.
- Optionally enter:
- Share of the Raise (%): the part of the target they're expected to bring
- Fee (% of Capital They Raise) and Flat Fee
- Notes
- Click Add Co-Sponsor.
Use the pencil to edit a co-sponsor and the trash icon to remove one. Removing one clears their credit from opportunities and pledges.
Credit Their Investors
Choose the co-sponsor in the Co-Sponsor field on an opportunity. See How Do I Track Prospects in the Fundraising Pipeline?.
What the Panel Shows
- Share: their percent, and the target that works out to.
- Opportunities: how many are credited to them, and the expected amount.
- Committed and Funded: what their investors have pledged and paid in.
- Estimated Fee: the percent fee on committed capital plus any flat fee.
Your Own Raise (No Co-Sponsor) totals everything not credited to a partner. For a report by source, see How Do I See Where My Investors Came From?.
Good to Know
- Adding a co-sponsor doesn't give them a login. To share the deal with them, see How Do I Share a Deal With a Co-Sponsor?.
- With shared access, they see a separate Shared Deals page. Open Report shows the committed total for the investors you chose. If you shared individual names and amounts, it also lists each account and offers Download Shared Relationships CSV.
- To record fees you owe them, click Fee Records. See How Do I Track Fees Owed to a Co-Sponsor or Partner?.
