Each investing account has a payout method: ACH to a reviewed bank account, Wire to reviewed wire details, or Check mailed to a payee and address. When you open an approved payout's Payments, each payout is grouped by its account's method.
Methods Already on File
Until someone picks a method, Syndelo pays an account the way its details already allow, so nothing changes for existing investors:
- A linked bank account your team approved for payouts: ACH through your payment provider.
- Bank numbers your team reviewed but no linked bank: ACH by NACHA file.
- Only reviewed wire details: Wire.
- Nothing on file: the payout shows under Unable to Pay.
Change an Account's Method
- Open the investor's profile from Investors and find Payout Methods.
- Click Change next to the investing account.
- Choose ACH to a Bank Account, Wire Transfer, Paper Check by Mail, or Use the Details on File. For ACH or wire, pick which reviewed account to use.
- For checks, you can enter a different payee or mailing address. Otherwise checks go to the account's legal name and address.
- Confirm with your password and a code, then click Save Payout Method.
Changing a method needs permission to change payment instructions. The investor gets a notice whenever you change it, and your finance team gets one when an investor changes it. Every change is in the activity log, without any bank numbers.
New bank or wire numbers never come in through here. They're added under Funding Sources, and a second person reviews them before any payout uses them. Until then, the account shows under Unable to Pay.
Unable to Pay
The Unable to Pay tab lists each payout that can't go out yet and why, such as no reviewed bank account, wire details waiting for review, or an incomplete mailing address. Tick the accounts and click Request Payment Details to send their investors a portal notice and an email asking them to choose a method and add the details. The email never asks for bank numbers. You can also fix the method on the investor's profile.
When Money Arrives
- ACH: standard ACH, usually 1 to 3 business days after it's sent.
- NACHA File: on the start date in the file, if your bank accepts it before its cut-off.
- Wire: usually the same business day your bank sends it.
- Check: when the investor deposits it and it clears your bank.
