Accounting tools live on Money under the Accounting tab, in the Bank Matches & Closing the Books panel. Choose an Investment to begin. Every step is reviewed by another team member.
Import a bank statement
- Click Import Bank Statement.
- Enter the Bank Reference, Statement Reference, period dates, and Opening Balance (USD) and Closing Balance (USD).
- Choose the Bank Transactions CSV. Each row needs external_id, posted_on (YYYY-MM-DD), and amount; use negative amounts for money out. Up to 500 rows.
- Click Import Statement, then have someone else use Review Statement.
Match transactions
Under Unmatched Bank Transactions, click Match Cash Entries, tick the book entries that make up the transaction, and click Save Match. The person who imported or matched cannot approve the matches.
Close a period
Open Accounting Tools and choose Prepare Period Close. Closing requires matched cash activity and reviewed bank balances. After approval, Download Review Pack is available under Accounting Review. To change a closed period, click Request Reopening.
Other tools
The Accounting Tools menu also has Prepare Correction (a debit and credit entry), Review Bank Timing, Map Accounting Codes, and Review Internal Cash Offsets.
- Cash Controls sets how much cash to keep and how old bank proof can be. New payouts and unsent ACH payments pause if proof is too old or cash is too low.
- Withholding Obligations lists tax withheld from payouts. Use Record External Remittance after you pay the tax agency outside Syndelo.
Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
