What's on the Loans Tab?

For InvestorsBy Syndelo

What investors in a debt fund can see about the loans the fund has made.

Open a debt fund from My Investments and choose the Loans tab. It lists the loans the fund has made to borrowers. The tab only appears if your sponsor shares loan details.

The List

  • Outstanding Principal: what borrowers still owe the fund, and how many loans are active.
  • Weighted Average Rate and Weighted Average LTV: averages weighted by balance. LTV is loan-to-value, the loan's share of the collateral's value.
  • Loans Past Due: how many are behind, and the amount outstanding on them.
  • Portfolio Mix: the share of outstanding principal by lien position, loan type, and maturity.
  • Loans to Borrowers: each loan with its Outstanding balance, LTV, and Status.

One Loan

Choose a loan to see its Outstanding Principal, Interest Rate, Loan-to-Value, and when it Matures, then Loan Terms and Collateral. If your sponsor also shares payment schedules, the loan's schedule is listed too.

Statuses

  • Current: payments are up to date.
  • Grace Period: a payment is late but inside the loan's grace period.
  • Late: a payment is past the grace period.
  • Default: the loan is in default.
  • In Forbearance: the lender agreed to pause or ease payments.
  • Paid Off: the loan has been repaid.

Good to Know

  • Borrower names, fees, and notes aren't shown to investors.
  • These are the fund's loans, not your own position. Your notes are on the Overview tab. See How Do I Read My Promissory Notes?
  • For questions about a loan, contact your sponsor.
