How Do I Manage Statements, Beneficiaries, and Tax Forms?

For InvestorsBy Syndelo

How investors control statement delivery, add extra statement recipients and beneficiary records, and send signed tax forms.

Open Account Choices from the Account menu. Each investing account has its own panel where you manage statement delivery, extra recipients, beneficiary records, and tax forms.

Statement delivery and recipients

  1. Open Account Choices.
  2. On the account's panel, choose Edit Preferences.
  3. Check or uncheck Send Statements to Account Users.
  4. To send copies to someone else, such as your accountant, choose Add Recipient and enter their name and email. You can add up to 10.
  5. Check I Approve These Recipients and Beneficiary Records and save.

Extra recipients get PDF copies of statements. They do not get portal access.

Beneficiary records

In the same Edit Preferences window, choose Add Beneficiary. Enter their name, relationship, and other details, and choose primary or contingent with an allocation. Each tier you fill in must total 100%.

Beneficiary records are kept for administration only. They do not change who owns the investment or automatically transfer it.

Send a signed tax form

If your tax adviser asks you to give your sponsor a signed tax form:

  1. On the account's Tax Forms panel, choose Send Tax Form.
  2. Upload the Signed PDF, enter the form details, and give a reason.
  3. Send it.

Your sponsor reviews the form before accepting it. Syndelo does not choose your tax status or file the form with the IRS.

You only see edit buttons for accounts where you have permission to make changes. To manage people who can act for an account, see How Do I Add Someone Who Can Act for My Account?

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
