If a legal account's details change after Moov setup, Syndelo needs a Legal Profile Review to confirm the same owner still holds the Moov account. Until it is approved, new payments based on the old profile need new approval.
Steps
- Update the legal profile with Moov first.
- Upload a legal-category document that shows continuity. For an issuer, upload it to the team document library with no investment or investing account assigned. For an investor, share it with that investing account.
- Go to Money > Bank Transfers (ACH). In Moov Account Setup, click Legal Profile Reviews on the account.
- Click Prepare Profile Review. Choose the Legal Continuity Document, tick I Verified This Is the Same Continuing Legal Owner, with No Ownership Reassignment, add Evidence and Decision, confirm your identity, and click Verify with Moov and Prepare.
- A different Finance Approver clicks Review, ticks the same confirmation, and clicks Approve Change. They can also Reject.
Good to know
- Prepare Profile Review shows only when the current legal profile version differs from the approved one and no review is pending.
- The approver must act within five minutes of the Moov check.
- This does not create an account or change its owner. New owners, joint accounts, and accounts held for others need their own setup.
- After approval, unsent payments and bank setup based on the old profile need new approval. Accepted transfers keep their history.
- The original setup proof stays in the history. The preparer or an approver can Cancel a pending review.
