These totals appear on your Home page, My Investments, and each investment's page. They come from your sponsor's records.
The Figures
- Current Value: what your holding is worth, from your sponsor's latest valuation or unit value. If there isn't one yet, it shows what you paid in, less capital returned. That is a book balance, not a market value.
- Paid In: the capital you have paid in. It counts payments once they clear.
- Payouts: what you have been paid, before any tax held back.
- Pledged: the total you agreed to invest. Other sites call this a commitment.
- Not Yet Paid: the part of your pledge you haven't paid in yet.
- Pledges Paid In: the share of your pledges you've paid, as a percent.
- Ownership: your share of the class, with your units if the investment is sold in units.
Where Current Value Comes From
On My Investments, and on an investment's page, the line under Current Value tells you which it is:
- Unit value: the fund's latest approved unit value.
- Sponsor valuation: a value your sponsor entered.
- Paid in, less capital returned: no valuation yet.
The date shows when that value was set. With a sponsor valuation, money you paid in or capital returned after that date is added or taken off, so the figure can differ from the value your sponsor entered.
Value Over Time
The chart on My Investments compares Value with Contributed, month by month. It appears once there are at least two months to show. Choose Show Data Table to see the numbers, including Payouts to Date.
Good to Know
- Your sponsor chooses which figures to share. A hidden figure is left out, so you may not see all of these.
- Home shows whole dollars. Investment pages show cents.
- Use the account picker to see one investing account. See How Do I Switch Between My Investing Accounts or Sponsors?
- If a figure looks wrong, contact your sponsor. Syndelo can't change your records.
