How Do I Cancel or Reject an Investor's Application?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How to end an application with an exit request and resolve what's still owed.

Open the application and use the Application Exit section. Click Start Request to Leave, choose Cancelled or Rejected, and give a reason. If nothing is signed or owed, it ends right away; otherwise it stays open until the listed items are resolved.

Steps

  1. Open the raise, go to Investors, and open the application.
  2. In Application Exit, click Start Request to Leave.
  3. Choose the Outcome (Cancelled or Rejected) and enter a Reason for Exit (at least 10 characters).
  4. Check the acknowledgement and click Start Exit.
  5. If items remain, resolve each one listed, then a different team member with approval permission clicks Review Exit Resolution. If a legal release is required, choose it under Executed Legal Release, If Required and confirm it's signed.

Items That Can Block an Exit

  • Outstanding signature packages
  • An accepted pledge that needs a reviewed zero-amount legal release
  • Outstanding payment instructions or in-flight transfers
  • Unmatched funding notices or unassigned receipts
  • Funded capital or a refund owed
  • Open capital calls, unit or note obligations, or pending transfers

Good to know

  • While an exit is pending, the application is on hold: no new application, signing, or funding activity.
  • An exit does not send a refund or cancel a payment with the provider. Use Record a Capital Refund for money owed back.
  • The person who requested the exit can't resolve it.
  • After it ends, the original agreements, pledge changes, and cash history stay available. The investor is notified.
  • Investors can request this themselves. See How Do I Withdraw My Application?

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
