Use Scheduled Book Entries to record a cost you owe or income you earned before the bill or cash arrives. Each entry has an entry date and a reversal date, and another finance reviewer approves the schedule. It is on the Accounting tab of Money.
Steps
- Upload the signed agreement or invoice to the investment's documents.
- Go to Money, open Accounting, and choose the Investment.
- Under Scheduled Book Entries, click Plan Book Entries.
- Choose the Entry Type: Cost Owed, Bill Not Yet Received or Income Earned, Not Yet Paid.
- Enter the Agreement or Service Reference, pick the Supporting Document, and explain Why This Entry Is Needed.
- For each entry, enter the Entry Date, Reversal Date, and Amount. Click Add Entry for more (up to 60).
- Click Send for Review. A different finance approver checks the dates and amounts.
Statuses
- Scheduled: approved, not yet posted.
- Posted: the entry is on the books.
- Reversed: the reversal has posted.
- Cancelled: remaining entries were cancelled.
Good to know
- No cash moves and ownership does not change.
- Check Due Posting posts an entry that is due now.
- Cancel Remaining cancels entries not yet posted. Enter a reason and click Request Cancellation. A different approver reviews it. Posted entries keep their planned reversals.
- "This period is closed" means you must get the period reopened first. See Reconcile the Bank and Close the Books.
- Entries stop if the preparer or approver loses access. Review the entries still due.
Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
