How Do I Set Up My Portal Web Address?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How to give your investor portal its own address, such as yourcompany.syndelo.com, in under a minute and with no DNS setup.

Your investor portal can have its own web address, such as yourcompany.syndelo.com. Investors sign in, sign up, and view your raises there, with your logo and colors. It works as soon as you save it, with no DNS records to add. You need permission to edit workspace settings.

Choose your address

  1. Open Settings and choose Web Address under Brand & Messages.
  2. Under Syndelo Web Address, enter the name you want. We suggest one from your company name.
  3. Wait for the check under the box. It says whether the address is available or already taken.
  4. Choose Save Address.

Your portal is live at the new address right away. Choose Open Your Portal to see it the way investors do.

Naming rules

  • 3 to 63 characters.
  • Letters, numbers, and hyphens only. No spaces, dots, or underscores.
  • Start and end with a letter or number, and don't use two hyphens in a row.
  • Each address belongs to one workspace. If someone else has the name, try a variation such as acme-capital or acmeinvestors.

Capital letters are saved as lowercase, so Acme and acme are the same address.

Where investors see it

Once it's saved, Syndelo uses your address in the links investors get:

  • Portal invitation emails.
  • Your investor signup link.
  • Links to your raise pages and opportunities.

If you also connect your own domain, such as investors.yourcompany.com, links use that domain instead. Your Syndelo address keeps working too. See How Do I Connect a Custom Domain?

Change or remove your address

Choose Change Address to pick a new name, or Remove Address to stop using one. Links you already sent with the old address stop working, so send investors the new link. The old name becomes available for other workspaces to claim.

Investors can always sign in at the standard Syndelo portal address, even without a web address of your own.
