How Do I Add, Edit, or Delete a Note on an Investor?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How relationship notes work, who can edit or delete them, and where they appear.

Notes are short, internal comments about an investor, such as a conversation, a preference, or a next step. Investors never see them.

Add a note

  1. Open the investor from Investors.
  2. Click Add Note at the top, type your note, and click Add Note.

You can also scroll to Relationship Notes, type in Add Context for Your Team, and submit.

Edit a note

  1. In Relationship Notes, find your note.
  2. Click Edit, change the text, and click Save Note.

Edited notes show an Edited date next to the original date.

Delete a note

  1. Click Delete under the note.
  2. Click Delete Note to confirm, or Cancel.

Good to know

  • You can only edit notes you wrote.
  • You can delete your own notes. People who can also manage the team can delete anyone's notes.
  • If Edit or Delete is missing, you are not the author or your role cannot edit investor records.
  • Notes are listed newest first. Notes from someone who left the workspace show Former team member.
  • Notes appear in the Notes tab of the investor's activity and in Export Messages.
  • Notes can be up to 10,000 characters.
  • For calls and meetings, use Log Call or Meeting instead. See How Do I Edit a Logged Call or Meeting?

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
