How Do I Manage the Maximum Raise and the Waitlist?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How the maximum raise, holds, reservations and the waitlist work on a raise.

Set the Maximum Raise right on the raise's Setup tab. New raises start with a maximum equal to the target, and it rises with the target until you set your own. Hold timing, class limits and the waitlist are on the Investors tab under Maximum Raise and Holds.

What the totals mean

  • Applications Assigned: amount in active applications, and how much is still available under the target or maximum raise.
  • Approved: amount approved.
  • Reservations: spots reserved while the raise is upcoming. These are not binding.
  • Waitlist: amount and number of waitlisted applications.

Change the maximum raise

On the Setup tab, enter the Maximum Raise (USD) and click Save Maximum Raise.

Change holds and class limits

  1. On the Investors tab, click Edit Maximum Raise and Holds (or Set Maximum Raise).
  2. Enter the Maximum Raise (USD), the Draft Hold Duration (Minutes), and Days to Keep Interest Open.
  3. Optionally set Optional Class Limits. Leave a class blank to use the overall maximum.
  4. Enter a Reason for This Change and click Save.

The maximum must cover current places and holds that have not expired. Funding goals and auto-close rules cannot override it.

Start a waitlist at the target

On the Setup tab, click Edit Steps in Investor Steps and check Stop at the Target and Start a Waitlist. New applications then join the waitlist once the target is reached.

Admit someone from the waitlist

In the Waitlist panel, choose the application and confirm with Admit to Review. This moves their form back to review and emails them. If you admit someone out of order, enter a Reason for Admitting Out of Order.

Reservations

Turn on Let Investors Reserve a Spot Before the Raise Opens in Investor Steps to let investors show interest while the raise is upcoming. Reservation History and Interest History (Not Binding) show the details.
