What Do Portal Status and Relationship Status Mean?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

Explains the Portal Status and Relationship Status values on investors and how to change them.

Each investor has two separate statuses. Portal Status shows whether they have a login. Relationship Status is a label your team sets.

Portal Status

  • Not Invited: no portal invitation has been sent.
  • Invite Sent: invited but has not accepted yet.
  • Registered: has a portal login.
  • Inactive: the invite expired or signup was declined.

Portal Status changes on its own. To invite someone, see How Do I Invite Investors to the Portal?

Relationship Status

  • Prospect: someone you are getting to know.
  • Onboarding: getting set up to invest.
  • Active: a current investor.
  • Inactive: no longer active.

These are your team's labels. Changing one does not change access, money, or documents.

Change Relationship Status

  • One investor: open their profile and click the pencil next to Relationship Status in the Relationship panel.
  • Many investors: on Investors, check the boxes, open Selection Actions, choose Set Status, pick the new status, and confirm.

Good to know

  • Filter the directory by Status or Portal Status.
  • Campaigns can target investors by status. See How Do I Send an Email Campaign?
  • Changing status needs permission to edit investor records.

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
