How Do I Choose Whether to Reinvest My Payouts?

For InvestorsBy Syndelo

How investors choose how much of each payout to receive in cash and how much to reinvest.

If your sponsor allows reinvestment for an investment, you can choose how much of each payout to take in cash and how much to invest again. You do this from Payout Preferences on the fund's page.

Reinvestment is only available when your sponsor switches it on for that investment. Otherwise, payouts are paid in cash.

Make a payout choice

  1. Open Funds under Investments, and choose the fund. You can also choose Fund Activity on an investment's page.
  2. Under Payout Preferences, find your position and choose Edit Payout Choice.
  3. Choose a Choice Type. With Percentage Reinvestment, set the Reinvestment Percentage: 0% is all cash, 50% is half and half, 100% is all reinvested. With Fixed Cash, Reinvest Remainder, enter the Fixed Cash per Payout and the rest is reinvested.
  4. Choose a Start Date.
  5. Check I Approve This Payout Choice and save.

Your choice is used when a payout is prepared. Payouts already approved keep the choice saved at that time. Reinvested money stays in the same investment and share class.

If you don't see Edit Payout Choice, your sponsor may not allow you to change it online. Contact your sponsor.
