A Drip Campaign sends a series of emails on its own, over days or weeks, and can tag contacts, create tasks, and move pipeline stages along the way. Use one to follow up with new leads, remind people who committed, or chase unfinished applications without doing it by hand.
Go to Messages then Drip Campaigns. Click New Drip Campaign, then start from a template or from blank. Either way you get a draft. Nothing sends until you publish.
Build the Steps
The builder shows your campaign top to bottom. Click + between two steps to add one. Click a step to edit it. Use Move Up and Move Down, or drag a step, to change the order within a branch.
- Send Email: write the subject and message, or use a saved email template. Merge fields work the same as in Email Campaigns.
- Wait: wait for a set time, or until a day and time. Days and times use your workspace time zone.
- If/Else: split into Yes and No paths. You can check whether the contact opened or clicked an earlier email, has a tag, has a custom field value, is in a pipeline stage, has invested, or has applied.
- Add Tag and Remove Tag: change the contact's tags.
- Create Task: give your team a task about this contact.
- Move Pipeline Stage: move the contact's open opportunities in that pipeline. Won and lost opportunities stay where they are. Stages that investor activity sets on its own, like Funded, can't be chosen.
- End: the contact is finished. Every path ends in one.
Choose How Contacts Join
Click the Starts When card at the top.
- Added by Hand: your team enrolls people one at a time or as a group.
- Contact Is Created: someone is added by your team, a lead form, or investor signup. Imported contacts don't count, so importing a list never emails it.
- Tag Is Added: a contact gets the tag you choose.
- Lead Form Is Submitted: someone submits any form, or the one you choose. If the form offered marketing email and they left it unchecked, they aren't enrolled.
- Pipeline Stage Changes: an opportunity moves to any stage, or the one you choose.
Under the same card you can let people go through the campaign again, and remove them when they invest. People always leave when they unsubscribe. Even with repeats on, a trigger enrolls someone in the same campaign at most once a day.
Publish, Pause, and Change a Live Campaign
Publish checks every step. Anything missing is marked on the step at fault. Publishing starts the campaign, and from then on it emails real people as they enroll.
Pause stops sending and enrolling. Resume picks up where it left off. Anyone whose wait ended during the pause continues right away.
You can edit a live campaign. Your changes stay in a draft until you publish again. People already enrolled finish the version they started on, and new enrollments get the new version.
Archive stops a campaign for good. Everyone still in it leaves.
Send a Test
Open a Send Email step and click Send Test. It goes only to you, with sample details filled in.
See Who Is in a Campaign
Each step shows how many people are there now and how its email did. Click People to see everyone enrolled and where they are, and to use Remove From Sequence or Enroll Contacts.
An investor's page also has a Drip Campaigns panel, showing what they are in, with Enroll.
When Something Goes Wrong
- The sender stops working. If the sending domain or mailbox can't be used, the campaign pauses and tells the person who created it. Nobody is lost. Fix the sender or pick another and publish, then click Resume.
- The mail service refuses a message. That contact shows as failed with the reason. Click Retry to try again.
- A send gets cut off. Syndelo never sends the same step twice to the same person. If it can't tell whether the email went out, the contact stays failed so someone can check the email log.
Drip Campaign emails share your workspace's sending limit with Email Campaigns, and always include an unsubscribe link and your mailing address. Anyone on your Do-Not-Email List is skipped.
Try It With Sample Data
Sign in to the shared demo workspace as a sponsor or as an investor. No signup, and nothing you do there sends real email or moves money.
