How Do I Create a Signing Template?

For SponsorsBy Syndelo

How to upload your agreement, check the fields, and publish a reusable template.

Upload your subscription agreement, check the fields and publish once, then reuse the template.

Setting up a raise? Do it from the raise instead. On its Setup tab, click Subscription documents in the checklist (or Upload Agreement in Document Sequence). Everything happens in one window, and when you publish, the agreement is added to the raise's document sequence.

Upload your agreement

  1. Open Signing, click the Templates tab, then Create Template.
  2. Drop in the agreement (PDF or Word, up to 20 MB). The Template Name fills from the file name.
  3. Under Use This Template For, choose Subscription Agreements or Other Investor Agreements.
  4. For subscription agreements, leave Require a Sponsor Countersignature After the Investor checked if you sign after the investor. For other agreements, enter Signing Roles, in Order, separated by commas (up to six).
  5. For a PDF, leave Place Signatures and Fields for Me checked. Claude reads the agreement and places the signature, date and fill-in fields for each signer. This option appears when AI help is on for your workspace.
  6. Click Continue to Fields.

The field editor opens. If Syndelo placed fields, you'll see a line such as "We placed 2 signatures, 2 dates and 9 fields." Check every field, move or add any that are off, then save and close the editor. The field list in Syndelo updates on its own. If it doesn't, click Refresh Fields.

Check where each field gets its value

Text fields with no signer show details Syndelo already has, such as the subscriber's legal name, address, tax ID or amount. Syndelo matches them by their labels, so most Fill From choices are already picked and marked "Matched automatically". Check each one and change any that are wrong.

A field left on Fill When Preparing is typed in by hand when you prepare an agreement. Investors who sign inside the investment wizard see it blank, so pick a source wherever you can.

Publish

Check I Have Reviewed the Document, Signing Roles, and Field Placement and click Publish Template.

Publishing saves a reviewed copy for agreements to use. To change it later, open the template, click Edit Fields, then Publish Changes. Agreements prepared after that use the new version; agreements already sent, and applications already in progress, keep the version they started with.

Use it in a raise

Published subscription templates can be added to a raise's Document Sequence on its Setup tab with Add Document. A new raise can also copy its documents from an earlier raise with Copy Setup From. See How Do I Send a Subscription Agreement for Signature?.

Syndelo is in preview. eSign and investor payments require live provider setup; a demo or sandbox action does not complete a live transaction. Confirm availability for your workspace before relying on either.
